Mélanie Chevarie’s Mentorship
Mentorship is where knowledge becomes wisdom
For centuries, knowledge has been passed from one birthkeeper to the next through presence, reflection, and shared practice. This is how birthworkers have always learned, by walking beside those with lived experience, listening, practicing, and carrying forward what is timeless.
I have been teaching, mentoring, and practicing women’s health for over twenty years. I am a licensed midwife and a NARM preceptor. My own path has taken me from community births with traditional midwives to clinical research. As the first midwife accepted into Johns Hopkins’ Master’s program in Medical Education, I have grounded my teaching in rigorous, evidence-based pedagogy. And as the co-founder of Institut Doule, I have guided and mentored more than 1,000 student doulas, supporting them as they found their voice and strength in this work.
With my years of experience and my commitment to mentoring the next generation, it would be an honour to walk with you in the ancient way of transmission, guidance, and knowledge sharing.
